Adhesive systems and solutions

The adhesive systems and solutions product lines are long-established, proven developments that have been tested in practice
over many years and are manufactured by NILOS to the highest quality standards in Germany. Whether for hot vulcanization or
cold bonding, removing oil and grease contamination or bonding rubber to metal – NILOS has the right solution for you.

Hot vulcanization is a process that has proven itself
especially suitable for repairs and endless splicing of
conveyor belts, or for bonding rubber to metal.
When
applied correctly, it creates durable and high-strength
joints between the individual components.
NILOS hot vulcanizing solutions offer excellent initial
tack
to ensure secure positioning of the components
during processing.

Cold Bonding is used when local conditions do not allow
the use of additional vulcanization equipment, or when the
shape of the material makes a chemical bond necessary.
NILOS TOPGUM adhesives are available in various versions,
all of which are activated with a universal hardener. The
adhesives achieve high bonding strength – even under high
dynamic loads.

bonding completes the product line.

NILOS SPLICING KITS

Splicing kits

Splicing or repairing a fabric conveyor belt requires both a vulcanization solution and uncured materials, including cover plate,
intermediate rubber, and fabric. NILOS vulcanizing materials are designed to be compatible with most conveyor belt qualities from
leading manufacturers. We create a customized splicing kit for you, containing all the necessary components and quantities.

To perform a splice or repair on a fabric conveyor belt,
the following components are required:

• vulcanization solution L-1000
• uncured rubber material (cover plate, intermediate rubber)
• fabric
• pressure pad

To perform a splice or repair on a steel cord conveyor belt,
the following components are required:

• vulcanizing solution STG-B
• uncured rubber material (cover plate, core plate and STG strips)
• pressure pad
